Heather DeRome - guitarist, composerHeather DeRome is a guitarist/composer living in Sooke British Columbia. She graduated with high honours from the University of Victoria School of Music in 1995.
Heather DeRome was the author of the column, "Musings on Music" in the Rural Observer, a column that explored the various ways that music makes us better people. Heather is currently collaborating with Frank Koonce on various projects, including transcribing and arranging The Bach violin Sonatas and Partitas and the cello suites, for the guitar. She is also working with Scott Tennant, one of the world's top guitar players. Heather plays 'Farewell to the Forests', a piece she wrote for a mull-media production, Windfall Park, which brought together dancers, actors, video artists. Heather composed and performed the music for the event.
