Guitar Lessons
There is no greater gift. From my experience, both as a student and as a mentor, I think that the student-teacher relationship is one of the greatest gifts life has to offer. I love my students like I adore my kids. I am their fiercest advocate and their biggest fan.
It is a tremendous source of satisfaction for me to watch my students grow and develop, both as musicians and as human beings. Over and over, and with every student, I have witnessed how becoming a better musician makes one a better person. Music increases our intelligence, it enhances our social skills, it enables us to love more deeply and it connects us with our spirituality. Who ever thought that this kind of magic could happen just by saying, "put this finger here and that finger there." ? Get better chops! In the technique classes, affectionately known as Bootcamp, we do drills and right and left hand exercises together.
When I first started Bootcamp, I told my students it was be compulsory, I promised it would be FUN and I guaranteed better chops.
